CIRA-JAPANA proudly present the 2012 calendar which theme is anarchists who lived through the War. We brought you vivid pictorial and biography of eleven people and a collective who were involved in anarchist movements in various ways.
AKIYAMA Kiyoshi, MIZUNUMA Tatsuo, MOCHIZUKI Katsura and ENDÔ Sakan who had been active respectively in poetry, labour movement, people’s art movement and anarchist publications since the early 20th century; MUKAI Kou who had creatively worked with “nameless people”; YAMAGUCHI Kenji, SASAMOTO Masahiro and the Direct Action Committee for Anti-Vietnam War which stood out during the anti-Vietnam War movements; INOUE Minako who worked with the indigenous Ainu people; KAWANI Hiroshi and IMAIZUMI Yoshihiko who linked up avant-garde art with anarchism; and TSUJI Makoto whose rare illustration appears on the calendar.
