ボイコット無印良品！


5 月31日に、イスラエル軍は、ガザに人道支援しにゆく船を襲撃し、10名の活動家を殺した。さらに、翌日パレスチナ内のチェックポイントでイスラエル政府 に抗議していた米人女性活動家が、イスラエル兵に催涙弾を顔面に撃たれ左目を失った。

イスラエルはひたすら、連日のようにパレスチナ人 を殺し、経済から精神にいたるまでコントロールしている。さらに、パレスチナに連帯し、イスラエルの圧倒的な暴力に抵抗し直接行動する、インタナーナショ ナルな活動家への弾圧は勢いを増している。

しかし、この状況下のイスラエル社会に、ファッション、インテリア、生活雑貨などの日本の大 手ブランド「無印良品」がイスラエルへの進出を発表している。2011年中にテルアビブかエルサレムに1店舗を出店する予定。

無印良品 は、イスラエルに進出する意味をわかっているのだろうか？イスラエルに企業をおけば、イスラエルに利益をもたらし、パレスチナ占領にも加担することにな る。今、世界中でイスラエルの悪名高さから、資本引き揚げやボイコット運動も起きている。それなのに、あえて企業進出する無印良品。そんな会社の物は買え るか！無印悪品ボイコットと抗議メールを！！

We Urge MUJI to Drop the Plan to Open a Branch in Israel!!

According to the website of Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. they decided to open a MUJI store in Israel.

It has been more than one year since Israel massacred peoplein Gaza but nobody was held responsible nor punished for theatrocities and Israel continues its occupation andanti-Palestinian policies.

Regardless of the intention of MUJI corporation, theirdecision to open a branch in Israel will inevitably givesstrong political message that they support the “traditionof non-punishment” towards Israel by international community.

MUJI will be the first Japanese retail corporation to opena branch(shop with MUJI license) in Israel. We shall stopthis. Let’s show our solidarity with Palestinians andboycott Israel! Palestine Forum

It is deeply regrettable to hear the news that your companyis going to cooperate with Israeli Kairi Group to open aMUJI store in Israel. Israel continues its brutal occupationand apartheid policy against Palestinians while ignoringhundreds of the UN resolutions. There are ongoing calls forboycotting Israel not only in Arab countries but all overthe world.

Israel practices and legalizes racism and ethnic cleansingwhich are not acceptable in international community anymore.International pressure is much needed against Israel just assame as it was once needed against South Africa.

Japanese companies used to actively deal with South Africancompanies while South Africa was under the UN economic sanctionand it received world wide criticism. We sincerely wish youwill not be dishonored by being the first Japanese company tohave a branch　(shop with MUJI license) in the apartheid stateof Israel and strongly request you to drop this plan even fromnow on. Above all, please listen to the voice of Palestinians who arestruggling to gain basic rights and dignity as a human beingand asking to end the history of non-punishment towards Israelby international community. We strongly urge you to reconsiderthe plan to open a MUJI store in Israel. We would appreciate much if we can have your view on thismatter.
