１ ｝同時に「意象萎縮」はイベントや出版の形を通して、目下政治と経済が衰退の一途をたどる中で芸術とその成果物の保存にベストを尽くします。そのために私たちは現代文明の地層に目を凝らし、ヒビ割れの底に潜む問題や新しい文化の萌芽を探り起こします。

Equal parts event and publication, Spectacular Atrophy is a coordinated effort to fortify the arts and artefacts that have a chance to survive past this era of political and economic decay. So the leading question is of the ground below, of the seismic activities that shape topographies, the fault lines beneath the foundations of contemporary civilisation.

「意象萎縮」同時以活動與出版物的形式盡力在當下政治與經濟衰敗的時代裡保存藝術及其衍生產物。因此我們試圖深入當代文明的土壤，從裂縫中找出存在的問題、探尋震盪出新文化地貌的原因。

２ ｝台湾を起点にして外へと伸びてゆく「意象萎縮」の長期目標は単に独特の世界観を表現するだけでなく、希望としてはより多くの手段、方法を以って絶えず邁進していくことです。避けることの出来ない衰退する文明の犠牲者がその逆境の中でこそ発揮する生命力を見つけたいのです。
Starting in Taiwan and from there spiralling outwards, the long-term goal of Spectacular Atrophy is to become an example of a project that not only assumes a unique orientation to the world, but also one that demonstrates different pathways forward. In other words, the goal is to not only avoid falling prey to the self-implosions of a decaying civilisation, but also to find alternative methods of thriving through these times.

從台灣為起點向外延伸，「意象萎縮」的長期目標不單是期望能提供一個獨特的世界觀，更希望能做為向前邁進的一個不同途徑。避免在這場衰敗的文明中成為被動的犧牲者，能在逆境中找到另一種旺盛的生命力。
